Cid-eka-rasa-rūpiṇī (चिदेकरसरूपिणी)
This is the 364th name of the Lalitā Sahasranāma.
After revealing the Divine Mother as Tat-pada-lakṣyārthā, the Supreme Reality indicated by the word Tat in the Mahāvākyas, the Sahasranāma now describes the very nature of that Reality:
Cid-eka-rasa-rūpiṇī — She whose nature is the one undivided essence of Consciousness; She who is homogeneous, pure Consciousness alone.
This is among the most profound Advaitic declarations in the entire Sahasranāma.

2. What Does "Eka-rasa" Mean?
The expression eka-rasa is extremely important.
It means:
of one essence,
homogeneous throughout,
without internal division,
the same everywhere.
A lump of pure gold is "eka-rasa" because it is gold throughout.
An ocean is essentially water throughout.
Similarly, the Divine Mother is Consciousness throughout, without any division or mixture.
3. Traditional Meaning
The Divine Mother is called Cid-eka-rasa-rūpiṇī because her essential nature is not:
matter,
energy,
mind,
thought,
individuality.
She is pure Consciousness, undivided and infinite.
4. Devotional Meaning
For a devotee, this name reveals the deepest truth about the beloved Mother.
The Goddess worshipped in form is, in her highest nature, pure Consciousness.
Her beauty, compassion, and grace arise from this infinite reality.
Thus devotion culminates in the recognition of her true nature.
5. Śrīvidyā Meaning
Śrīvidyā often speaks of the Mother as Cit-Śakti.
Yet at the highest level there is no distinction between:
Consciousness,
Power,
the Goddess.
She is not conscious.
She is Consciousness itself.
And that Consciousness is one, indivisible, and all-pervasive.
6. Advaita Vedāntic Meaning
Now the deepest layer.
Why does this name follow Tat-pada-lakṣyārthā?
The previous name revealed:
Tat-pada-lakṣyārthā
The Mother is the reality indicated by the word Tat.
Now the Sahasranāma answers:
What is the nature of that reality?
The answer:
Cid-eka-rasa-rūpiṇī
Pure, undivided Consciousness.
A profound insight
Ordinarily we think consciousness exists inside individuals.
The sages reversed this perspective.
They taught:
Individuals appear within Consciousness.
The Mother is that infinite Consciousness.
The hidden teaching
Experience appears divided into:
subject and object,
self and other,
knower and known.
Yet all of these distinctions appear within awareness.
Awareness itself remains undivided.
The Mother is that undivided awareness.
Like Space
Space appears divided by walls:
room,
hall,
temple.
Yet space itself is never divided.
The divisions belong to structures, not to space.
Similarly, Consciousness appears divided into countless beings.
Yet Consciousness itself remains one.
This is the meaning of eka-rasa.
Beyond Mixture
Everything in the world is a mixture:
pleasure and pain,
gain and loss,
birth and death.
The Mother as Cid-eka-rasa-rūpiṇī is not a mixture.
She is pure Consciousness without any opposite.
The Essence of Every Experience
Every experience differs in content.
Yet one factor remains constant.
Awareness.
Whether one is happy or sad,
awake or dreaming,
thinking or silent,
awareness remains.
That constant factor is the Mother.
Relation to Earlier Names
Many names have been preparing for this revelation:
Nāma-rūpa-vivarjitā — Beyond name and form.
Kṣaya-vṛddhi-vinirmuktā — Beyond growth and decline.
Citiḥ — Pure Consciousness.
Tat-pada-lakṣyārthā — The Brahman indicated by "Tat."
Now:
Cid-eka-rasa-rūpiṇī
The nature of Brahman as one homogeneous Consciousness.
The Great Advaitic Vision
The Upaniṣads declare:
Reality is not many.
Reality appears as many.
The underlying truth is one.
This name expresses that vision directly.
The Mother is not one being among many beings.
She is the one Consciousness appearing as all beings.
The Non-Dual Meaning
At the highest level:
there are not many consciousnesses,
there is only Consciousness.
The apparent multiplicity belongs to mind and experience.
The Mother as Cid-eka-rasa-rūpiṇī is the indivisible reality in which all multiplicity appears.
A deeper contemplation
Human beings experience life through distinctions.
Everyday perception divides reality into countless categories:
self and world,
subject and object,
mine and yours,
inside and outside.
These distinctions are useful for practical life.
Yet the sages questioned whether they reveal the deepest truth.
Upon inquiry, they discovered something remarkable.
Every distinction depends upon awareness.
Without awareness, no object could be known.
Without awareness, no thought could arise.
Without awareness, even the sense of individuality would not appear.
Awareness itself, however, is never divided by what appears within it.
Just as a mirror remains one despite reflecting countless images, Consciousness remains one despite appearing as countless experiences.
The Divine Mother as Cid-eka-rasa-rūpiṇī is this undivided reality.
She is not merely present within consciousness.
She is Consciousness itself.
The one essence underlying all experiences, all beings, and all worlds.
To contemplate Cid-eka-rasa-rūpiṇī is to recognize the Divine Mother as the one homogeneous reality of pure Consciousness. She is the indivisible awareness underlying all existence, the infinite essence in which every apparent distinction arises, and the non-dual truth that remains when all separateness is transcended.
One-line Essence
Cid-eka-rasa-rūpiṇī reveals the Divine Mother as the one undivided essence of pure Consciousness, the non-dual reality underlying all beings, experiences, and worlds.
