136. Nityā
Nityā reveals the Divine Mother as the eternal and unchanging Reality beyond the flow of time. The name teaches that beneath the ceaseless transformations of life exists an ever-present Consciousness that neither arises nor passes away, remaining forever complete, luminous, and free.
Nityā (नित्या)
This is the 136th name of the Lalitā Sahasranāma.
Having revealed the Divine Mother as Nirmalā, eternally pure and untouched by all obscuration, the Sahasranāma now unveils another fundamental attribute of the Absolute:
Nityā - She who is eternal.
Purity alone is not enough to describe the Supreme Reality. That which is truly pure must also be beyond time, change, and decay. Thus the Divine Mother is revealed as the ever-existing Reality that neither arises nor passes away.
